The centre of the Fuerteventura´s countryside holds many secrets that deserve to be discovered through the perfect tour. Would you like to join our panoramic tour?
Fuerteventura is an island of dormant volcanoes and beautiful beaches. Its interior is brimming with contrasts, waiting to be discovered via tours that show you all the best places in just one day. For this, we recommend one of our most popular excursions in Fuerteventura: a panoramic tour of the island's interior, which takes you to traditional villages, mountains and secret stretches of coastline.
Our eight-hour tour of the centre of Fuerteventura leaves at 8 o'clock in the morning from Corralejo. One of the most well-known towns on the island due to its surf culture, along with the mesmerising Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, this is an obligatory stop for anyone visiting Fuerteventura.
La Oliva is located in the centre of Fuerteventura and is home to some of the island’s most popular attractions. Tindaya is undoubtedly the most famous of them all. Fuerteventura’s most important natural monument is a sacred mountain that reaches almost 400 m above sea level. See cave paintings created by the majos, aborigines that inhabited the island hundreds of years ago.
After visiting Tindaya, we head to one Fuerteventura’s most famous peaks: Morro Velosa! The mountain offers spectacular panoramic views of the island, from a viewpoint designed by the famous artist, César Manrique. An ideal point for contemplating the island contrasts before heading off on the last stage of our trekking tour in the centre of Fuerteventura.
Betancuria was the former capital of Fuerteventura, and while it no longer holds this title, it’s still the best representation of traditional culture on the island. Stroll around its quaint streets with their colonial architecture, explore its interesting church or peek at the donkeys roaming around tropical gardens while you absorb the magic of the cultural heart of Fuerteventura. Following our visit to Betancuria, we visit Presa de las Peñitas, a dam that gathers waters from an underground river. An ideal setting to appreciate a setting that holds hundreds of years of secrets.
We take a minute from out tour to stop and admire some of Fuerteventura's most famous black sand beaches.
Playa Sotavento and Playa de la Barca are among the main attractions of Costa Calma, in the south-east of Fuerteventura. Idyllic places that are not only some of the best beaches in the Canary Islands, but also in Europe. And for the icing on the cake of this excursion, we’ll take you to the magnificent Corralejo Dunes Natural Park. This blanket of beautiful white sand dunes is the perfect place to absorb the island’s exotic atmosphere before returning to nearby Corralejo.
